Why is a digital meter needed?
The digital meter is necessary for participation in grid balancing and a prerequisite for enjoying a dynamic energy tariff.
I have a HomeWizard P1 meter what now?
If your installer uses a Home Wizard (this depends on your personal situation. This is the P1 wireless variant) for reading this data, he will ask you to perform the following instructions.
Which energy tariff is best?
You always have a free choice in the type of energy contract. To get the most out of FlexiO, it is more interesting to switch to a dynamic contract. FlexiO can ensure that you inject or draw power at the most optimal moments. As a result, the same installation can genetariff more savings.
Why do I need to open the P1 port?
The P1 port allows FlexiO to read the data from your digital meter. This is necessary to guarantee the FlexiO service, so it is important that you activate the P1 port of your digital meter. How to do this correctly can be found here.
When do energy bill savings start?
Savings on your energy bill through energy management are started immediately after your installer has approved the installation. Once this happens, you will receive an e-mail from us with all the necessary information about the fee you will pay for energy management.
When do I start generating revenue through net balancing?
Revenues from grid balancing through the digital network of FlexiO can only start up after a successful evaluation and when enough new users have signed up. As long as this is not in order, your installation remains 'under evaluation'. If there are (technical) remarks during this phase, you will be notified so you can review and resolve them (together with your installer). Once the evaluation has been successfully completed, you will receive an e-mail from us confirming that you will start realizing revenue through grid balancing.
